🏆 Another Convincing Win for Team Troopers!

On a hot and sunny Sunday, the Troopers won the toss and chose to bat first against MCC-II. Regular openers Rohit and Avi walked out, but Rohit’s stay was short-lived as he was adjudged LBW on just the second ball of the innings.

Avi and Sasi attempted to rebuild, but the batting lineup continued to collapse under pressure, and BATCC-I found themselves struggling at 68/6. However, a resilient effort by Vineep, with valuable contributions from MD Talha and Harris Ali, helped push the total to a defendable 134 runs before being bowled out in the 33rd over.

🎯 Bowling Performance: Turning the Tide

If the batting effort was shaky, the bowling response was nothing short of clinical domination.

Led by the fast-bowling trio — the “AAA Battery”Amit, Abdul, and Essa delivered an unrelenting pace attack that tore through MCC-II’s top order. Their sheer pace, aggression, and relentless pressure broke the back of the chase.

  • Amit – 3/28

  • Abdul – 3/19 (also adjudged Man of the Match)

  • Essa – 3/4

Together, they left MCC-II in tatters.

Rohit redeemed his batting failure by taking the final wicket, while the fielding unit remained sharp and energetic throughout.

💥 Fielding Highlights:

  • A brilliant diving catch at gully by Rajesh S., a true moment of inspiration and precision.

The MCC-II innings folded for just 59 runs in 18.3 overs, sealing a 75-run victory for the Troopers.

🏅 Man of the Match:

Abdul – For his fiery spell of 3/19 that broke MCC-II’s backbone early in the innings.

📊 Top of the Table!

With this emphatic win, BATCC-I extends its unbeaten run to 6 out of 6 and proudly sits at the top of the league table with a Net Run Rate of 2.2269.

🔄 Transition to T20s Begins!

As we move into the T20 phase of the season starting next week, we bid farewell (for now) to Rajesh and Sanjeev, whose excellent contributions in the T50 matches have been deeply appreciated.

We warmly welcome Ashish J and Sam A into the T20 setup and look forward to continuing our winning momentum.

🫡 Well played, Troopers! Let’s keep the energy high and the wins coming! 💪🏽🔥
